Sporting body-conscious suits, Jolie plays platinum-maned Seattle TV reporter Lanie Kerrigan. Her wardrobe was created by Dolce & Gabbana in collaboration with costume designer Aggie Rodgers. ''Angelina was clear from the beginning -- that's how she wanted to look,'' says Rodgers. ''They are beautiful suits, strong colors and great textures that fit her perfectly.'' REALITY CHECK But would a local reporter be able to afford these sexy numbers? ''Honey, for Dolce & Gabbana, you better be on a network,'' says Melanie Huff, director of career services at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, who adds that news directors would likely give the look a thumbs-down. ''They want [reporters] to appear accessible.'' And about the cost -- similar suits start at about $1,000 at Dolce & Gabbana. A little steep for a reporter, who pulls in an average of $32,600 a year, according to a 2001 Radio-Television News Directors Association & Foundation survey. The artistic license must extend to Jolie's hairdo, too: There's no way that bouffant could withstand those Seattle showers.
