Meanwhile, UPN -- which is coming to seem like little more than an appendage of CBS (CBS chief Leslie Moonves now is in charge of programming both networks) -- added only three new shows, the least of any network. They are:
''Half & Half'' Replacing ''The Hughleys'' on UPN's Monday slate of African-American-centered comedies will be this sitcom starring Rachel True (''The Craft'') as one of two estranged half-sisters who discover they are neighbors in the same San Francisco apartment building.
''The Twilight Zone'' Following ''Enterprise'' on Wednesdays is this remake of the classic sci-fi/fantasy series, with Forest Whitaker submitted for your approval as narrator.
''Haunted'' ''Party of Five'' star Matthew Fox returns from TV limbo as a sleuth who returns from limbo after a near-death experience, accompanied by ghosts who help him solve crimes.
OK, that last one sounds like a pretty goofy premise, but then so did the Tuesday show that it's following, Whedon's drama about a young babe in sunny California who kills bloodsuckers.
