Alas, Tina Fey won't be with him, but ''Saturday Night Live'' newscaster Jimmy Fallon will be hosting the 19th annual MTV Video Music Awards show at the end of August, Variety reports. Fallon's no stranger to MTV MC gigs; he cohosted last year's MTV Movie Awards with Kirsten Dunst. Plus, his ''Weekend Update'' predecessor, Dennis Miller, hosted the VMA ceremony in 1995 and '96. Performers on the show, which will be broadcast live from New York's Radio City Music Hall, will include the suddenly ubiquitous Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, according to Variety. Springsteen has appeared on the awards telecast before, backing the Wallflowers in 1997 and by himself in 1994. An official announcement of the musical lineup is expected Monday.
