Q On a recent episode of NBC's Boston-based Crossing Jordan (inset), a mortician says he's with Fisher & Sons, the L.A. funeral home on HBO's Six Feet Under (above). What's the connection?
A ''It was an affectionate nod to the show,'' says a Jordan rep. ''We all just love [the show]. It's an acknowledgment that we all exist in the same false world of dead people and mortuaries and funeral homes.'' Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball hadn't heard of the inter-network reference until EW called, but a publicist for the drama says Ball is flattered. No wonder -- it's a killer compliment. -- Margaret Littman (Send queries to BurningQuestions@ew.com)
