C+
DJ Qualls looks like David Spade's kid brother turned into a stringbean Pinocchio. Playing a walking disaster area who gets ''trained'' in the ways of badass, Qualls does rubber-faced parodies of youth cool that are just what youth cool deserves. The New Guy itself sounds like a Pauly Shore reject, and pretty much is.
