A collaboration from former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and a couple of young bucks from his hood on drums and guitar, this is a thinking dude's pop-metal that swings more than it grinds. Tracks like ''Colder World'' and ''The Feeling Is Over'' take you back to the post-grunge salad days of Alice in Chains, when pretty tunes and monster riffs could happily share ear space.
