There's no tonic for living in L.A. -- that is, on show-biz's periphery -- like the Un- Cabaret, an alt-comedy showcase populated by TV writers, supporting actors, and even some actual stand-ups, predicated on the liberating notion that story-telling trumps shtick. The montagelike second CD (available at uncabaret.com) doesn't allow for the 20-minute anecdotes that best distinguish the joint, but it's still an hour-plus well-spent pretending you're pals with Hollywood's dishiest comic underdogs, including Bob Odenkirk, Dana Gould, Michael Patrick King, and Julia ''I Recently Started Having Sex Again'' Sweeney.
