Here's all Abrams is spilling for now: (1) Alias' curiously compartmentalized story lines--Sydney's home life, Sydney's work life, Will's investigation--are about to intersect; (2) a former fling of Sydney's--a fellow SD-6 agent played by Peter Berg--will join her on several missions; (3) in the tradition of the show's finger-severing and tooth-yanking wince-capades, microfilm will be extracted from an agent who's--gulp!--swallowed it; (4) an alarming Rambaldi prophecy appears to directly reference Sydney; (5) you, dear viewer, need to ask yourself questions like "What is Sloane's paternal obsession with Sydney?" "Why is Jack such a screwed-up guy?" "Is Sydney's mother alive or dead?"

But isn't there just the weensiest hint that the Alias authority could give us about the supposed shocking finale he's planning for May? "It is seriously my favorite thing," enthuses Abrams, who (as if he didn't have enough going on) is also penning the new Superman movie. "But I don't want to say anything.... We were shooting an episode and I was there with Jennifer and I said what happens. She like freaked out. For both of us, it felt like this ring to grab, this thing to aim for. It was the bull's-eye we were shooting towards."

Wait a minute...Jennifer knows what's going to happen????

Bull's-eye, indeed. Time to track down little miss I-had-to-sneak-into-the-writers'-room-to-find-out-w hat's-going-on-and-then-got-so-excited-I-forgot-everything superspy. Okay, Garner, game over. J.J. said you do indeed have the intel about what goes down in the finale. "Okay, I do know what the finale is," she admits, with a you-caught-me look on her face. But you told me you didn't. "Yeah," she says, flashing a most innocent smile, "but I told you with a wink in my voice."

A wink in my voice? Damn, that's cold! But just before you can exact revenge, she straightens her wig, climbs up the ladder, and disappears once again into the drowning Buick.
