More than a companion piece to the recent, great VH1 Legends special on Cooke (historian Peter Guralnick wrote both the TV show's narration and this CD's liner notes), Movin' includes some big hits (''Shake,'' ''Another Saturday Night'') but delves deeper, unearthing some of Cooke's grittiest, most emotional songs, like ''Falling in Love'' and the unreleased title tune. The result is a novel, ideal presentation of one of the most beautiful voices in pop history.
