Directed by Sidney Lumet, produced by Lewis Freedman, and introduced by Brooks Atkinson, The Play of the Week's syndicated production of Eugene O'Neill's Iceman practically defines that ''golden age of television'' we've heard so much about. More important, it's a chance to see the late Robards -- O'Neill's most prolific mouthpiece -- slink, cajole, and ultimately implode as Hickey, the would-be savior of the doomed rummies of Harry Hope's Last Chance Saloon. Also interesting is fresh-faced Redford, miscast as Don Parritt, the traitorous revolutionary with a secret to keep. Down the hatch.
