B+
Hank Jr., a self-parody by the end of his early-'90s heyday, returns with a surprisingly meaty set of blues, boogie, and deep-dish country, recorded at an Alabama venue frequented by his dad. Combining familiar themes (women, machismo) with nods to Hank Sr. lore (along with advice for Hank III on ''F Word''), Jr. carries on family tradition with renewed fervor and form.
