The camera work is choppy, the sets practically scream drama-club chic, and the candy-colored costumes are so '60s. And yet the musical tale of the glass-slippered gal is as timeless as ever. R&H songs are forever in fashion, and Warren -- with her crooked smile, mile-long lashes, and appealingly awkward gait -- will always be the quintessential girl of the cinders. When she trumps her snooty stepsisters and lands her prince (the dashing Damon), you'll wish you had a fairy godmother of your own.
