Burning Question

Q CBS' Baby Bob is a hit, but what happens when Bob hits the terrible twos?

A Nothing! The five infants playing Bob are kinda like Pampers—disposable. ''We'll just recast the baby,'' says exec producer Michael Saltzman, comparing Bob to The Simpsons in its indifference to the passage of time. ''For every TV year, Bob would age about a month.'' (Never mind grown-ups Adam Arkin and Elliott Gould.) Saltzman hopes to fare better than Look Who's Talking, a franchise that fizzled when the baby became a toddler. And he promises that one gimmick is enough: ''Talking animals? God no!'' -- Caroline Kepnes (Send queries to BurningQuestions@ew.com)
