This one bookends Richard Dorfmeister's dubby overhaul of Willie Bobo's proto-Santana boogaloo ''Spanish Grease'' and King Britt's stutter funking of Tony Scott's raga-jazz ''Hare Krishna'' around 10 doctored diva tracks. Misstep: a retooling of Billie Holiday's untouchable ''Strange Fruit'' by Tricky & Tool (?). Otherwise, Ella, Sarah, Astrud, et al. show how much DJ-jazz vocal fusion can offer. Hey, Cassandra, operators are standing by. B+
