Westerberg's transformation from inelegantly wasted young wunderkind to mature, bruised troubadour continues with this fine set of folksy ditties. Thankfully, our hero hasn't lost his knack for breaking your heart with a turn of phrase or a gauzy guitar motif. A bonus disc of grittier fare, recorded under the alias Grandpa Boy and previously released as Mono, is included, presumably for those who prefer their Paul in harder-rockin' mode. Stereo: A- Mono:
