Remember your first car? Well, if you'd been on a hit TV show, like Malcolm in the Middle's 16-year-old Frankie Muniz, it would have been cooler. The actor, who got his driver's license last year, paid Scott Centra, the famed car customizer who worked on last summer's nitro-charged The Fast and the Furious, nearly $100,000 for the souped-up white 1995 Volkswagen Jetta from the movie. ''The car came like crazy,'' boasts Muniz, ''loaded with stuff in it. I don't even know what half of it does.'' Besides its hot-rod engine and high-tech navigational system, the Jetta is equipped with a PlayStation 2, a DVD player, and a VCR. But Muniz learned that some amenities aren't what they're cracked up to be when his mom busted him for speeding. ''I have a video camera in my car,'' he laments, ''so she could see the speedometer.'' (As punishment, he says he was downgraded to pedestrian status for a week.)
