'WEATHERED' REPORT
They may not be bigger than Jesus, but Creed are officially bigger than Britney. Weathered, the third album from the righteous rockers, weathered considerable competition in the new-release racks to sell 887,000 copies. That's the second-best bow of the year--behind 'N Sync's 1.9-million opening, but safely ahead of Spears' recent 746,000 debut. Kid Rock had less reason to be cocky, though his 223,000-unit figure would've gotten him far higher than No. 7 any other week. Pink popped in at No. 8, with 220,000. Red and green, meanwhile, were the colors of the NOW series, represented by volume 8's No. 2 debut, on sales of 549,000, and a Christmas compilation, bounding on reindeer hooves to No. 5.
