They've hawked bedspreads, Butterfingers, and burgers. Now the Simpsons are shilling for cereal: Kellogg now offers two TV-inspired breakfast treats, Bart's Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch and Homer's Cinnamon Donut. Who's on top in this father-son taste test? A panel of EW cereal lovers -- who suggested flavors like Apu Jacks and Maggie-O's -- chowed down to choose a victor.

BART'S PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CRUNCH

THE VERDICT ''A pure culinary delight surpassed only by a six-pack of Buzz Cola,'' said one taster. ''Like Corn Pops with peanut butter paint,'' commented another.

CRUNCH FACTOR Medium; be sure to eat them before they get too soggy.

WOULD BART APPROVE? Yes, but someone suggested adding Butterfinger bits.

WORTH BUYING? A resounding yes

AVERAGE RATING (on a scale of 1-10) 7.6 Finally, Bart gets a good grade!

HOMER'S CINNAMON DONUT

THE VERDICT Judges called it ''strangely bland'' and ''like little furry Cheerios.'' And as one wondered: ''Why aren't they called D'oh! Nuts?''

CRUNCH FACTOR High

WOULD HOMER APPROVE? ''No. Needs jelly.'' Says another, ''Yes, if with beer.''

WORTH BUYING? All but one panelist would shelve the sugary oat loops.

AVERAGE RATING ¡Ay caramba! Dad scores a woeful 6.4.
