Terminally terrorized Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) survived her psycho brother Michael Myers in 1978's Halloween -- and in two of the seven sequels. But next summer's Halloween: The Homecoming may include Laurie's final shriek. Costar Sean Patrick Thomas (Save the Last Dance) says Laurie will be butchered in the opening sequence, a la Drew Barrymore in Scream. ''Not true,'' says Curtis with a suspicious grin. ''We totally reshot it and Laurie lives.'' But Thomas ain't buying it. ''I heard she didn't want to do any more Halloweens, so they killed her,'' he says. ''Laurie dies.'' Thomas concedes that the ending was reshot -- to beef up star Busta Rhymes' heroism. But he's mum about the fate of his character, a chef named Rudy. ''I have a special connection to Michael Myers,'' Thomas says. ''He's a knife guy and I'm a knife guy, so we have this blade battle.'' We give Mike the edge.
