RANDOM ACTS OF BADNESS: MY STORY (2012)

EW's GRADE
B+

Details Writer: Danny Bonaduce; Genre: Memoir

The road back to respectability is paved with hard work and a few lucky breaks. In the case of former Partridge Family child star Danny Bonaduce, however, you can throw in a few random detours, such as, say, an encounter with a transvestite hooker. That's just one of the speed bumps chronicled in the TV and radio host's autobiography, right next to his fights with drink, drugs, and Donny (as in Osmond; a three-round decision for Danny boy). Bonaduce's sharp wit and self-deprecating style more often than not make for breezy, lighthearted fun, but you may feel an overdose coming on from all the scandalous tales of drugged-out excess. Speaking of just saying no, the randy redhead should've stuck to shtick instead of opting for a pseudo-touchy-feely ending, but at least the guy's now able to write one.
