The Atlantans deliver another set of songs that alternate between bludgeoning thrash and delicate melody, a la System of a Down. But Sevendust's woe-is-me lyrics lack System's humor, and Lajon Witherspoon's often soulful and potent voice falls short of Serj Tankian's schizophrenic intensity. Most songs are indistinguishable from each other, and the few that alter the formula (the ill-conceived ballad ''X-Mas Day'') provide enough animosity to go around.
