This Austin quintet's anthemic arena rock made for perfect background music on VH1's music-competition series Bands on the Run. Off the air, however, their reliance on slight lyricism and meandering is painfully evident (especially on the overlong opener ''Lift''). Astronauts is redeemed by the punchy guitar jangle of ''Beautiful'' and the slow-burn ballad ''Smile'' -- both of which die-hard BOTR devotees will recognize.
