FEVER PITCH Nick Hornby (Riverhead, $12.95) Fox 2000 will remake the 1997 British film adaptation of a book about a man's obsession with a soccer team. This time around, the passion will shift from Manchester United to the Boston Red Sox.
FAMINE Todd Komarnicki (Arcade, $22.95) Producer Laura Bickford (Traffic) optioned rights to Komarnicki's 1997 novel about a homicide detective so obsessed with a criminal investigation that his personal life begins to crumble around him.
