Two years after the Merseybeat-influenced Full Western Dress, Austin's favorite hard-livin' band incorporates wider-ranging '60s pop-rock into its gut-bucket Bakersfield sound. There's a thrill in almost every song, but never more so than in the several tunes they cowrote with Jim Lauderdale. Hangdog honky-tonk at its best.
