Lead Performance: The Chemical Brothers
B
Never ones to shy away from adventure, the Chemicals preview their forthcoming album with a single that spices up their big-beat thump via manic congas and what sound like sampled lions and tigers and bears. The sound is powerful and tribal -- computer-world beat -- but whether it began in Africa or not, its repetitious groove mostly stays earthbound.
