THE ISLEYS HAVE IT
Every so often, some young unknowns score a huge debut, resulting in much headscratching among older music fans. This week, the teens are struggling to ID the band behind a left-field smash. After all, the Isley Brothers' first big hit, "Shout," made its mark in 1959. Boosted by a single featuring R. Kelly, the soul group's latest, Eternal, lands at No. 3 in its first week, selling 225,000 copies and leaving new albums from Usher (212,000 units), Jadakiss (204,000), and Aaron Carter (132,000) to twist and shout at Nos. 4, 5, and 7, respectively. Meanwhile, NOW 7 holds on to the top spot with 394,000 more copies sold, proving that people still like collections of too-familiar hits. Fight the power!
