All About
Josie and the Pussycats--
Grrrls with guitars are sexy. Girls who wear kitten ears and tails are fun. Pity that this fur ball of a movie is neither. Josie (Rachel Leigh Cook) fronts an all-girl band that achieves overnight success thanks to a sweet Megarecords deal. But do the kids love them for their catchy tunes and cool cat gimmick? Not a chance! The pussies are pawns in the label's maniacal plot to manipulate America's youth. Alan Cumming and Parker Posey, who play the corporate devils pulling the strings, add edge to an otherwise dull show. If only those two would start a band.
