If you're among those who preferred Supernatural's trippy instrumental tracks to its pop songs, producer Laswell's ''reworking'' of selections from a pair of old Santana albums (''Love, Devotion, Surrender'' and ''Illuminations'') should be just your cup of jasmine tea. Laswell's atmospheric sonic enhancements are tasteful, but, not surprisingly, Carlos' guitar remains the star attraction. It sounds marvelous in this framework -- particularly when he starts dueling with fellow axman John McLaughlin on John Coltrane's ''A Love Supreme.''
