Reese Witherspoon plays a West Coast campus princess who proves that just because she's a blond who has more fun doesn't mean she's a blond joke. This likable lollipop comedy, also starring Selma Blair and Luke Wilson, isn't as hip to itself as Clueless or as well-made as Election; the unflaggingly light tone could use some highlights. But as she did in Election, Witherspoon reveals interesting dark roots even while playing a golden girl.
