So long, caddy. Status-conscious duffers are tooling around in Humdinger golf carts that look as if they eat ordinary golf carts for breakfast. The four- and six-passenger vehicles retail for $15,750 to $24,000 at about a dozen dealerships nationwide and come with goodies like CD and DVD players. And the carts aren't just for the links. ''Some people actually use Humdingers in lieu of automobiles,'' says cart distributor Genesis Golf prez Luis Martinez. ''They'll jump in to go to the grocery store.'' Not all states permit the carts on local roads, but gadget junkies will banish buyer's remorse with the government-issued tax rebate included with the purchase of the zero-emissions electric model.
