If Edward Norton ever tires of acting, he might consider a stint with the Ice Capades. For the Danny DeVito-directed comedy Death to Smoochy -- in which Norton plays a Barney-like kids' show host -- the Oscar-nominated actor did most of his own blade work, including a showdown with costar Robin Williams. While Canadian Olympian Elvis Stojko had to double for a less-than-proficient Williams, insiders report Norton glided effortlessly through some complex figure eights. But any plans for a career switch are probably on ice. ''He's already a multi-hyphenate: writer-director-producer,'' says producer Andrew Lazar. ''He has enough things on his plate.''
