A formidable arsenal of computer-assisted puppets and live animals has been assembled to demonstrate that feline-versus-canine competition is a threat to world peace. Or so goes the lightheartedly silly premise of this fanciful comedy, with animal-voice contributions from Tobey Maguire, Susan Sarandon, and Alec Baldwin. There's just one problem: The plot and script sag like worn-out chew toys. Not only isn't this Babe, it's not even SNL's Toonces the driving cat.
