While director Rob Cohen attempts to do for street racing what The Matrix did for fight scenes, the movie's soundtrack gets stuck in first gear. Dominated by slow-burning hip-hop and R&B, the 17-track disc doesn't feature much fury, just cliched gangsta boasts and idling grooves. Only quality cuts by R. Kelly, Ja Rule, and Shade Sheist prevent the album from being a total drag.
