In The Suburbans, Jennifer Love Hewitt costars as a record exec who reunites a Long Island loser band to capitalize on '80s nostalgia. Intended as an accomplished parody in the ''Still Crazy'' mold, the movie is so pockmarked by child-safe humor (Kenny G sucks!), painful dialogue, and wretched production values, it just feels like amateur hour instead. D-
