C-
You'd expect any film about climbing K2, the infamous 28,250-foot Himalayan peak, to include a dramatic subplot like the fractured brother-sister relationship (Chris O'Donnell and Robin Tunney) that's tacked on here. But leave it to Hollywood to add a pointless million-dollar stake, a hermit climber (a wan Scott Glenn) looking to redeem himself, fiery explosions, roaring avalanches, and gravity-defying leaps -- turning what could have been a gripping adventure tale into a soulless theme-park ride.
