Let Go (2002)

Details Release Date: Jun 04, 2002; Lead Performance: Avril Lavigne

This 17-year-old small-town Canadian is one part Fiona, one part Tori, and several parts still working themselves out. Lavigne's monochromatic debut set of unimaginative guitar rock is saved only by the earnestness of her songs. She cowrites them all, but her sincerity can also work against her: Many of them sound like anthems in search of a WB teen drama.
