Cris JuddMaybe Cris Judd can commiserate with Tom Green. After little more than eight months of marriage, Judd and Jennifer Lopez have separated, according to various reports.
Although the singer/actress' publicist, Alan Nierob, would neither confirm nor deny the split, the Associated Press quotes a source as saying the couple have parted amicably but have no plans yet to divorce. In fact, a source tells Reuters that Lopez, 31, and Judd, 32, have lived apart ''for some time.'' The Reuters source says no third party was involved, dismissing as ''bogus'' this morning's New York Post story saying Lopez had reunited with Sean ''P. Diddy'' Combs.
Lopez's previous marriage, to waiter Ojani Noa, was similarly short-lived; it ended in 1998 after little more than a year. Her long-term relationship with Sean Combs ended in February 2001, as he was facing gun charges over a New York nightclub shooting (he was ultimately acquitted).
Shortly after, Lopez took up with Judd, a dancer in her ''Love Don't Cost a Thing'' video, and within seven months, they had wed. Judd went on to choreograph her Puerto Rico concert that aired on NBC and cowrite the song ''Alive'' with her for the soundtrack of her current movie, ''Enough.''
Recently, however, tabloid reports have had Lopez fuming over Judd's nightclubbing. What's more, she hired Noa to run her new Pasadena restaurant, Madre. She's also said in recent weeks that she'd like to make music with P. Diddy again because she admires his talent, and she stopped short of poaching one of his fashion designers for her own clothing line so as not to cause a rift with him, the Post reports.
