Marc Anthony's new album is ''Mended,'' and his current hit is called ''I Need You.'' Unfortunately, his own marriage is a different story. The salsa singer, best known for the hit ''I Need to Know,'' and his wife of two years, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, have separated, his publicist said in a statement yesterday. The couple have a 16-month-old son, Cristian Anthony Muniz.
No reason was given for the split. Anthony (born Marco Antonio Muniz in New York City) married Torres (who won the Miss Universe pageant as a contestant from Puerto Rico in 1993) in Las Vegas in May 2000. It's the first marriage for Torres, 27, and Anthony, 33, although he also has a daughter, 7-year-old Arianna, from a previous relationship with New York police officer Debbie Rosado.
