Almost 10 years and a dozen albums into their career, Stereolab aren't about to make it any easier for listeners. The lyrics may be marginally less political and cryptic, and the heavenly pop harmonies are still there, but underneath lurk cerebral free-jazz, odd time signatures, and lengthy ethereal drones. Cobra takes time to work its charm, but it's well worth the effort.
