LULU ON THE BRIDGE Harvey Keitel, Mira Sorvino (1998, Trimark, 103 mins., PG-13, also on DVD) Jazzman Keitel gets shot, finds a levitating, glowing stone on a dead guy, and inexplicably falls wildly in love with struggling thespian Sorvino. By the time our hero is kidnapped, writer-director Paul Auster's oblique plotting gets just plain annoying -- leaving ''Lulu'' feeling light-years away from his warm and coherent earlier efforts, ''Smoke'' and ''Blue in the Face.'' Reel Goodies (0:12) Keitel ruminates on ex-wife Gina Gershon's ''plump, protruding'' posterior. The Last Detail After showing opening night at Cannes, ''Lulu'' didn't find a distributor and went straight to video. C- --Daniel Fierman
