X-RAY

Nars is best known as a fashion photographer for haute publications like Vogue, and this collection of portraits does little to broaden his range. Almost every subject is a socialite, model, or actress, and they're all clearly at home posing for the camera. That said, Nars takes beautiful photographs of beautiful people. There's nary a hair out of place in these perfectly staged works, but with such willing subjects, one wishes Nars had taken a few more chances. B- -- Rebecca Ascher-Walsh
