FOR SALE TV Queen's palace! 6 BR, 5 BTH historic Hudson River home in Nyack, N.Y. PRICE $2.75 million
Rosie O'Donnell is bidding goodbye to the burbs. The amiable talk-show host is shedding her 1880s Victorian mansion -- 30 miles north of Manhattan -- because, says her publicist, it lacks privacy. Once owned by late Broadway star Helen Hayes, the one-acre estate, dubbed Pretty Penny, sits on a major street. Despite a high brick wall, the house is apparently still too visible. O'Donnell will leave behind an oversize pool, a cabana, six fireplaces, and a huge kitchen (good for storing plenty of Ring-Dings). O'Donnell paid $770,000 for the 22-room abode three years ago and spent $300,000 plus to renovate. Don't expect the adoptive mother of two to buy new digs soon: She's still got a place in Manhattan and a home in Miami -- near high-profile pal Madonna.
