Every fall, networks roll out season premieres and TV stars debut new, not-always-improved coiffures. EW asked celeb hairstylists Jose Eber and Nathan Sager of L.A.'s Sager French Salon to rate this year's follicular follies.

Keri Russell (The WB's Felicity) THE 'DO Flowing curls to Brillo-pad bushy. MOP TALK Says Sager: ''People considering cutting their hair [will] look at this and say, 'No way if it's gonna look like that.' '' GRADE C-

Dylan McDermott (ABC's The Practice) THE 'DO Legal eagle lets his hair down and grows Elvis sideburns. MOP TALK ''Too '70s,'' says Sager. Eber differs: ''He's so sexy, he could shave his head and I'd still give him an A.'' GRADE A-

Jenna Elfman (ABC's Dharma & Greg) THE 'DO Bye, hippie chick; hello, Farrah. MOP TALK ''She looks delicious,'' says Sager. ''Younger, hipper.'' Predicts Eber, ''Every woman in America will have this hairstyle -- again.'' GRADE A-

David Gallagher (The WB's 7th Heaven) THE 'DO The bowl-cut-bearing son of a preacher man turns spikey little devil. MOP TALK Says Eber: ''I liked the boyish look better.'' ''Kids should [be] kids,'' adds Sager. ''Not Marines.'' GRADE C+

Kirstie Alley (NBC's Veronica's Closet) THE 'DO Brash actress acquires an equally brassy color. MOP TALK ''Blondes do have more fun,'' Sager notes. ''It's off-the-wall, just like her personality,'' says Eber. ''I love it!'' GRADE A-
