Ellingtonia is in the air and on the shelves in Duke's centennial year, and Bennett's latest is a worthy addition to the pile. Bennett was, after all, a friend of Ellington, and he maintains dual citizenship in jazz and pop. Beloved tunes and rarities are stitched together like a narrative valentine, with such guests as Al Grey and Wynton Marsalis complementing his golden, idiom-crossing voice. A-
