This emotional wreck of a single (''Oh darling, it's so sweet, you think you know how crazy I am'') is oddly constructed, veering from a jerky, start-stop verse to a slowed-down middle and back again. The result sounds cut and pasted, like she fused two unfinished songs. But Apple's husky voice handles the transition beautifully, shifting from scary to needy to strong without missing a beat. B+
