The Best Man (1999)

EW's GRADE
B+

Details Lead Performances: Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill and Various Artists; Genre: Soundtracks

This slinky soundtrack will probably be remembered most for ''Turn the Lights Down Low,'' a digital duet between Lauryn Hill and the late Bob Marley (and probably the best Marley cover from the Fugees' camp). The album doesn't stop there: It blissfully weds sultry commercial R&B (Faith Evans, Allure) with boho sounds (Meshell Ndegeocello) and resiliently inventive rap (The Roots).
