''It's Saturday'' hooks with a yodel. Not a sha-na-na, woo-hoo, or MMMBop—a yodel. Such cutesy surprises aside, John Wozniak's winsome lyrics set the trio above other alterna-pop hopefuls. He tosses out wink-wink goofs about ''New Jersey hair'' but goes gaga on the ballads. The tuneful mix of smirky and sincere smells even better than ''Sex and Candy.'' B+
