While the Blair Witch Project ascended to the top of the rental chart (and also held down the No. 1 sales position), the Drew Barrymore comedy Never Been Kissed debuted at a respectable No. 5 by renting an average of 26 copies per store. Though that can't compare to the initial success of Barrymore's Ever After, which stormed the chart at No. 1 back in March, it was just good enough to kiss off the thriller Arlington Road (No. 6 with 25 rentals per store).
