Thought you'd never see 'N Sync and DMX on the same disc? Think again. They're here, along with Jon B, who performs a groan-inducing Bob Marley cover (''Waiting in Vain''), and some bland R&B acts. But the CD really lights up as a field report on hip-hop thug life: Whether representing East Coast hardcore (Ja Rule), Dirty South hell-raisers (Outkast), or the female perspective (Amil and Sole), the rhyme stylers blaze.
