She may have the sweetest voice in country music, but she's also one of Nashville's most uncompromising artists. After a surprise double-platinum solo set in 1995, Krauss stayed true to the roots-music label that launched her and the bluegrass brethren in her group Union Station. On Forget About It she delivers a set of pop weepers leavened with string-band twang. The material can get treacly. But austere arrangements and those marvelous pipes redeem all. B+
